Deia (sometimes Deya) in Mallorca is a truly beautiful place and it has what is probably the most dramatic backdrop to any village I’ve seen. Having just spent a week there, I know this. Look it up and you’ll know what I mean.

You could eat out in a different restaurant every night, however, with the current strength of the pound, it isn’t cheap. To the contrary, it’s expensive. Following the final night’s meal I must have flossed out £5 worth of food… Maybe I should have kept it longer to make the most of it!

If you’re going, of the restaurants we ate at Sa Dorada was my favourite. Best value, good food and a menu that suited my tastes I guess… and the little extras make a difference. Las Palmeras is one to avoid (sorry!), at first it seems like a simpler more ‘cost effective’ restaurant; simpler it is, cost effective it isn’t. Elements of the food were disappointing at any price, and any ‘extras’ are charged (olives, bread) and it all adds up to more than you hoped. Not good value.

Maybe I will, I will probably twit more often, bit I don’t think the keyboard will lend itself to long posts. Having said that I’m getting quicker, and the ‘guess the wright word’ thing when you type wrong works quite well.
Guess we’ll see!

So why is it that cans seldom stack any more. I mean being able to stack one on top of the other, without it falling off.

You can still get them, those cans with a rim on the top and rim-less easy stack bottoms which fit snugly into the rim of the can below!

So why isn’t every can like this? Seems daft to me! Why, oh why do I have to try to balance certain cans on top of each other in my cupboard? Daft! That’s what it is.

I’ve got to the point where I’m buying certain foods because they stack, what ever the contents tastes like!
